A little bit of light afternoon stalking – aka Zhu Yilong is in my town!!!

For the record: I’m writing this down in detail because asya and fangirlishness are complete enablers. 😉

So, last night, just as I was about to head to bed, I saw something on Tumblr about Shen Wei himself, Zhu Yilong, attending the watch & jewelry fair Baselworld. In case you don’t know – I live in Basel, and I might have lost it a little bit when I realized that at this very moment I was only a couple of kilometres away from this gorgeous creature… (That’s the suit he’s wearing today.)

First day

Back at work after over a month of sick leave. Surprisingly I managed to get caught up with most of it in a few hours – it was nice that several people said they were glad I was back. It’d be a bad sign if I wasn’t missed, after all. 🙂

In Basel it’s carnival, so it was relatively quiet, and I even managed to work on my Jalec round robin chapter, which is due this Thursday.

And now for some Guardian – episode 27 from yesterday, and a rewatch of episode 1. 😉

For your entertainment (and mine)

Thanks to qikiqtarjuaq I got my hands on the complete series of 0.5 diors, which Bai Yu apparently likes to pretend doesn’t exist. There are no English subs (yet, apparently qikiqtarjuaq will post a Bai Yu cut in the next month or so), but I couldn’t resist and put this together for my own amusement.

As far as I gather, Bai Yu plays a dorky straight guy named You Dongdong, who keeps ending up in compromising positions with his boss – a situation not helped by their coworkers having dirty minds and shipping the hell out of them.

Finally, more Guardian – and some webby stuff

First of all, I decided to use my free time to finally move my recs blog from Tumblr – I’d moved there after Delicious, but ever since the tag cloud script broke last year, it’s become impossible to navigate. So my recs collection (started in 2015) is hosted on recs.fandomish.net – but you can still follow it all over the place: Tumblr | Twitter | RSS (including a Dreamwidth feed) | ActivityPub (as shirasade@recs.fandomish.net)

Talking ActivityPub – I’d been quite frustrated that it wouldn’t work for my hub here. Today I finally figured out that it was because the WP install was in a subfolder instead of on its own domain. So I moved shirasade.net/me to me.shirasade.net, and now you can find me in the Fediverse as shirasade@me.shirasade.net.

And last but not least: Today, I finally watched another episode of Guardian – I still can’t handle it in large doses, I’m waaaay too emotionally invested, the feels are killing me. So naturally I liveblogged episode 20:

Your Daily Guardian Update (now with added fic!)

I “only” watched three episodes today (13-15) – but what episodes! I honestly thought I’d die at times, they were so glorious (and unbelievable). *g*

And in between I sat down and drabbled, because that’s what happens when a ship eats my brain. It’s only 250 words, I’m not confident to write a full-length fic in this fandom (yet), and only spoils the very first episode a little bit.

Caught in Between (for asya, because it’s mostly her fault *g*)

And now for posterity, my live squee into Masto, under a spoiler cut:

I can’t even with this show.

Seriously, it’s 100% fanfic come to life. There is no heterosexual explanation for pretty much anything to do with Shen Wei and Zhao Yunlun. The glances! The taking care of each other! The half-hidden smiles! Mild spoilers for ep 8 below…
